Gettin' Ready

...for Emma's first day of kindergarten! We took Emma to her meet the teacher night and it was a big success! She is ready to start school!
*something I'll always remember: Regan cried on the way there because she was nervous to meet E's teacher!

What did they do when there weren't cell phones?

Brady called my cell today during his lunch and asked what was going on with our home phone... I said that I had no idea because I was out swimming with the kids.
He told me that when he called some recording comes on saying there is a problem with the telephone facility.
Great. I'm sure we paid the bill.
I get home and try to make a call. No dial tone, nothing.
Our internet still works... checked our account- it's all good.
Brady called the phone company..."oh, I see, sorry about that. We can have a technician out on Thursday evening."
What? not until Thursday? Fine.
Brady asks me why I care so much when I have my cell phone and still have internet...
I don't know. I guess I don't.

The Time Came

We said goodbye to Elder Beck last week. These pictures say a lot about the kind of uncle and brother he is and they say a lot about his relationship with our girls.
*We've already heard from Elder Beck and he is doing great!*
click on the link to his mission blog for updates

His Fave

Last chicken costoletta and chocolate tuxedo cheesecake for two years!
This is how we are able to enjoy dinner at Cheesecake Factory!
Don't judge me... if you tried to get her to sit still for that long you'd use this method too & look how happy she is!

One More Time

We had to do one last pool/pizza night before the CA Becks headed home. These kids love their uncle!

Brothers & Sisters

(trevor, nicole, patrick, & alexa)
(brent, aby, me, & brady)
One fun night before Patrick left we decided to do a "sibling night".
**What I really wish I had pictures of was my parents taking all 6 grand kids to a movie. Keeping track of kids ages 7, 6, and 5 plus three 3 year olds had to have been an adventure! (thanks gma &gpa)

It's About That Time

Last Sunday was my little brother's farewell.
You can see that he is not little...actually very tall...not sure where he got it.
We just love him.
I can't even look at all the pictures from that day without some major tears, but these are some of my faves.
He goes to the MTC this week.
It's been a really busy/fun couple of weeks...more on that later.

Zoo in JULY

Yeah, that's right- we went to the zoo last Friday. We were there by 7:45am and gone by 9am! Not feeling like we have to stay all day or see everything each time we go has been the best part of having a membership.
All of the animals were out and moving around and the girls were so excited to finally see the bear up close! I won't go anywhere near the snakes...so Brady took them!!
You'll notice from the pics that Regan's face is pink...it's her summer color- if she's in the heat for two minutes she looks like a tomato!

Father's Day ... Not Forgotten

Needless to say I am getting caught up on my blogging...and a highlight of June for us was being able to celebrate Father's Day with Brady and both of our Dad's!

We love them all!

It's Independence Day

We had a fabulous 4th! It began with a 7am flag ceremony (our kids loved it and learned a lot) which I have no pics of, but wish I did...a camera wasn't really on my mind at 7am. Then we went to see Ice Age (pretty funny) and after that we went to a bbq/swim party with the Standifirds where I ate way to much spinach/artichoke dip (thanks Kati) and Brady got way too sunburned! After that we headed home for some much needed naps. We met up with the Becks at Macayo's in Tempe (moment of silence for the last time we'll all be there together for 2 years) and ended the night with a great (45 min long) firework show by City of Tempe. Just when we thought we were done we got to sit in the car for another hour (trying to get out of the parking lot) and listening to the girls get their second wind that carried them until 11:30pm when we finally got home!

It was a happy 4th and we were grateful to spend it with everyone we love!
